Cisco Systems San Jose Geary Studio

Cisco needed to convert an underused office into the Geary Studio without permanent walls, a built cyc, ceiling changes, or disruptive construction. The active customer briefing environment required quiet after-hours work and service-route load-in.

Twelve-foot sections of twelve-inch box truss and a complete production package had to fit inside the compact office. The finished room also had to match Cisco Studio 2.0 standards and place engineers inside a virtual data-center environment for live demonstrations.

JAZ built a freestanding twelve-inch box-truss structure for lighting and installed a temporary-style green screen as a long-term solution. Background and presenter lighting were controlled separately, with Kino Flo, RGBW, broadcast camera, Panasonic PTZ, monitoring, routing, and control systems aligned to Cisco standards.

Equipment moved through approved service routes, and noisy work was completed after hours. The modular approach allowed JAZ to complete the studio in approximately two weeks without conventional construction.
