Cisco’s Beijing studio preserved the global Studio 2.0 standard despite difficult import logistics and a low-ceiling skyscraper location.
01 / Project brief
Cisco required every Studio 2.0 location to use the same bill of materials so footage could match across the global network. Freight forwarding and import requirements made the approved equipment difficult to bring into China.
The Beijing skyscraper studio also had unusually low ceilings, leaving little clearance for professional production lighting above presenters.
JAZ spent approximately three months managing freight forwarding, HTS classification, duties, documentation, and import requirements so Cisco could retain the approved global equipment package.
JAZ built a three-wall cyc green screen, combined Kino Flo and RGBW lighting, and removed portions of the suspended ceiling to place fixtures safely at the highest practical position. A dedicated rack connected cameras, audio, monitoring, control, and routing. The finished room was calibrated to match Cisco’s other global studios.
