Burbank production stage with white and chroma-green cycs beneath the overhead grid

01 / Project brief

What the project required.

The challenge

Two existing cycs were worn, tape and adhesive covered parts of the floor, InsulQuilt required repair, acoustic ceiling tiles were damaged, and selected Speed Rail needed removal.

The stage also needed Cat6a connectivity, stronger wireless coverage, and an updated bell-and-light system for modern live-streaming and stage operations. Upper walls, ceiling, and grid work required safe elevated access.

The approach

JAZ documented the stage, removed floor residue, and prepared both cycs for professional refinishing, one in chroma green and one in white. InsulQuilt was repositioned and repaired, loose ceiling tiles were replaced, and selected Speed Rail was removed.

Multiple Cat6a runs, overhead Cisco Meraki access points, and bell-and-light improvements modernized the technical infrastructure. Scissor lifts provided safe access to elevated work areas.

Original scope

  • Two-cyc refinishing, chroma and white paint, floor cleaning, adhesive removal, and transition work
  • InsulQuilt repair, ceiling-tile replacement, Speed Rail removal, and grid coordination
  • Cat6a runs, Cisco Meraki access points, live-streaming connectivity, and bell-and-light upgrades
  • Scissor-lift work, safety review, finish work, and cleanup
